Day 28-30. Out and about in Queenstown

Queenstown
Daily total: 0kRunning Total: 1750.43km

The day of rest was a walk. A walk up Ben Lomond, which turned out to be that big bugger of a big hill/small mountain. The views from the top are amazing and running down it is way more fun than you think it would be but you sure feel it in the legs the next day. Ended up having to spend an extra day in Queenstown to recover. There was no way I could ride a bike any amount of distance.

As soon as the peak appeared, it had to be climbed.

Hill top hobos.

The little people dots on the right give an idea of scale.

As a reward, we went to the legendary Fergburger in town. With all its hype and recommendation from an international collective, I thought it would be the burger to end all burgers! It was good but the international hype placed upon it was too great. I was expecting my tongue to become sentient and commit suicide on the bases that it will never taste anything as good ever again. It didn't. Don't bother ordering the chips. Sheer pap.

You can drink in public on the beach. It makes such a change.

I ended up having to spend an extra day in town as my legs refused outright to cycle anywhere on the newly fixed bike. They were on strike. Any incline, a painful, hobbled filled experience. I really pushed too far on the walk.
